2009 Elk Prairie Humboldt County Pinot Noir
This is 100% Humboldt County, with a beautifully untamed nose of cranberry and redwood forests. In the mouth you get classic Elk Prairie cranberry, cola and mushrooms with a nice trailing acidity . The winemaking was done with minimalist techniques allowing the unique character of this region to shine. This is a Pinot light enough for grilled chicken and tough enough for duck and BBQ’d pork. So,put on side one (record one) of Hüsker Dü’s Zen Arcade, get out your big pinot glasses and enjoy!

With stone fruit, nice acids and a great floral nose I can't think of a better way to start off swinging. This is a wine that you can drink on the front porch, on a hot day, with good friends, loud rock-n-roll and a fired up grill.
For this warm weather wine we couldn't have been luckier than to have our dear friend Sarah Utter paint the label. A painting that reminded us, when the weather would not, that spring and summer were just around the corner!
